Submissions

My real life friends want to submit photos, so they all think I should allow reader submissions.

I’ve thought about it for a long time (5 minutes), and have decided that I will post pictures submitted by visitors, but only under the following conditions:

• The photo must be yours and orginal. My Google-fu is strong, and I will know if you merely swiped a photo of a funny sign from the net. There’s plenty already out there. This site is for ‘found’ signs only.
• No fakes. My filter-fu is also strong, and if you want to photoshop funny signs, submit them elsewhere.
• I get the final say as to whether I choose to use a photo or not on my photo blog, but if I use one you submit, I will give you proper credit (unless you request otherwise).
• I get the final say on any snarky commentary, but if I use yours, I will quote and give you credit for it as well.
• All submissions should be e-mailed to signsdrainage at gmail dot com as an attachment to an email.
• I cannot guarantee that I will look at your submission in a timely manner or get around to responding to you about it. This is just a hobby after all. If I do decide to use something you submitted, I’ll try to email you back to let you know.

That’s it for now. Sorry if it sounds like a lot of rules, but a) this is just a blog, not a community, and b) I highly doubt I’ll get that many submissions anyway.
